In 2018, we saw organisations struggling with the same thing: network infrastructure that had outgrown the people managing it. Multi-site WANs held together with legacy configs. Security bolted on as an afterthought. Vendors who disappeared after the sale.
We started with SD-WAN. We designed and deployed enterprise-grade wide area networks for businesses across Ireland and the UK, and we became one of the leading practices in the market. But every network engagement led to the same conversation: "Can you help with security too?"
So we built a full security practice alongside the networking capability that started it all. SOC and SIEM monitoring. Managed detection and response. Endpoint protection. Identity and access management. Not as a bolt-on or a rebrand, but as a deliberate, sustained investment in the team and the tooling to do it properly.
Then came the compliance and consulting practice, because the organisations we work with do not just need technology. They need someone who understands how it connects to regulation, risk, and business outcomes.
Today, Edge7 Networks operates across three disciplines: managed networking, managed security, and consulting and compliance. We are one of the few partners in the market that spans all three with specialist depth in each.
We did not start with a sales team and build backwards. We started with engineers and built outwards. That still defines how we operate.
